Section 1 - Cabernet Franc
Van Bers Vineyard, Tawse (Tawse winery), Creek shores, Ontario, VQA Canada - 2009
- $50.50
- Color: clear dress but dark like blood or ruby
- Served with a veal stew, various vegetables and broccoli soup
He says : 4.5 stars
- To start, it is very round, fresh and incredibly smooth
- Finish is full-bodied and dry, with tannins that are pretty powerful but that have aged enough.
- Very long finish (even more as it is aerated) and very strong
- Strong taste of red fruits, blackberries, cherries
- Aroma is chocolatey, and of raspberries
- There's a touch of jam towards the end, strawberry? and black currant too
- Very good wine, intense, and of very good quality
- Complex
- Not exactly my taste so I wouldn't buy it again but I am not disappointed at all
She says : 4.5 stars
- This wine has the acidity of a cherry tomato, very sweet like jam
- Aroma of black currant
- Very round on the palate
- Persistent finish
- Taste of sweet cherries
- Too acidic and heavy for my taste but very interesting & complex
